In animation mode, the timebar (not to be confused with timeline) contains playback controls and options for animation.

Playback controls

Shortcuts to quickly move to Next or Previous keyframe.

  • Previous keyframe , (comma)

  • Next keyframe . (period)

Auto key

When AutoKey is ON, changes made to any object's properties (such as translation, rotation and scale) are automatically saved as keyframes in the timeline/graph editor at the current frame.

Loop

Puts the animation on loop after the current frame reaches the end frame.

FPS (Frame Per Second)

The higher the FPS, the faster the animation will play. At 30 FPS, the animation will play at a speed of 30 frames per second.

Play animation. Play animation backward. Move 1 frame forward. Move 1 frame backward. Skip to start frame. Skip to end frame.
